Wayback Machine checker

Enter a domain to see when the Wayback Machine first and last archived it.

The Wayback Machine keeps dated copies of web pages. The first date shows how long a domain has had content on the public web.

An early date can come from a previous owner, so compare it with the registration date in a whois lookup.

Questions

Is the first date the same as the domain's age?

No. It is the first copy the archive saved. The domain may be older, or it may have had a different owner then.

Why does my site have no copies?

The archive may not have reached it yet, or the site may block its crawler.
